Huaxia Construction Planning Studio was established in September 2015. Initially, it was composed of 4 instructors and 33 urban and rural planning students. It was responsible for a number of professional-related research projects and jointly built a professional design team, committed to the construction of beautiful rural areas, personally into the countryside, the advantages of professional design of universities to participate in the front-line construction, many parts of the country have left the shadow of studio teachers and students.

In December 2016, the studio received a project from Hunan Province in which Ms. Zhang, who was five months pregnant at the time, travelled to the countryside without hesitation, making daily trips and conducting a week-long survey. In order to improve the rationality of the design, the members of the studio often argue about the color of the road and the density of the street trees, members often sleep and eat in the studio for a week; it is not unusual for them to stay up all night doing research and editing.

After graduation, Zhang Chengfang entered HXIT to work. To she, work is her life. Now every weekend when she waits for her child's class to be over, she also asks other teachers to bring a computer with her and talk about work with her when she waits for her child.

In view of the differences among the students, Zhang Chengfang, in line with the people-oriented concept, cares about the students, and innovates ideas and methods, does a good job in class management and personnel training, and provides maximum support and help for the students, therefore, she has become a trusted teacher. She once invited two confused students to join her studio and took them through the project, and now both are studio teachers.

Zhang Chengfang has been called a true three-all-round educator, and she has won many school-level honors. Last year, the Ministry of Education announced the second batch of national universities to build a“Double leader” workshop for teachers of the party branch secretary, the Huaxia Construction Planning Studio, which she leads, was selected as the only representative of a private-funded university in Hubei province.
