On September 7, the Hubei Federation union of education,science,culture,health and sports announced the results of the 8th Hubei University Young Teachers' Teaching Competition, in which Ms. Liang Mengfan from the School of Information Engineering and Ms.Chen Dandan from the School of Foreign Languages won the third prize in the engineering group and foreign language

group respectively.What’s more,the univeristy union won the excellent organization award.The competition was divided into five groups: ideological and political, literature and history, science, Engineering and foreign language (English). The competition included three parts: teaching design, classroom teaching and reflection and defence, and the first, second, third and excellent prizes were finally selected. The leadership in HXIT attaches great importance to this event, and the organisation of the competition lasted from March to the end of August this year. A special working group was set up in the early stage, headed by the head of the school in charge, with the heads of 10 units, including the Department of Academic Affairs, the Party Committee Teachers' Work Department and the school's trade union, as team members. In the later stage, the participants were identified through selection, and according to the unified requirements of HXIT, a leading group of training and a team of experts were set up in the School of Information Engineering and the School of Foreign Languages respectively.

In order to achieve good results in the provincial competition, on July 2, the school leaders invited Dr. Lv Peng, the first prize winner of the science group of the 7th Hubei Provincial College Young Teachers' Teaching Competition, to the school to share his experience in the College Young Teachers' Teaching Competition.

In order to enhance the practical ability of the contestants and improve the quality of the competition, the university union set up a team of training experts with Professor Zhang Li as the leader in August.

During this period, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President Li Haimin came to the site several times to visit the training experts and the contestants.

In the end, the two participating teachers in HIXIT overcame many difficulties, rehearsed carefully and polished repeatedly, and achieved excellent results with their solid professional skills and distinctive teaching style.
