From September 21 to 30, the 16th Sports Meeting of Hubei province (College Group) and 11 players football match of the 13th Hubei University Sports Meeting were held in Wuhan Optics Valley Football Sports Park. There were 95 matches in total. Nine students from the HXIT Physical Education Department participated in the judging work of the competition, which was highly recognized and affirmed by the committee with good professional quality and full enthusiasm, and fully demonstrated the skill level and professional style of the students in the HXIT Physical Education.

In recent years, Physical Education Department football direction of the faculty and student team has successfully completed the project of production, teaching and research education carried out in cooperation with Education Department of Hubei， Hubei Football Association, University Students' Sports Association and other industry associations, from which a number of coaches and referees with professional qualifications have been trained. Students have participated in and learned the service guarantee work of various events.
