Research Achievements Won the Entrepreneurship Prize

Recently, the preliminary of China Optics Valley 3551 International Entrepreneurship Competition (Intelligent Manufacturing Session) was held in Hubei Province Returnee Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center. The competition is sponsored by the Organization Department of Wuhan Municipal Party Committee and the Management Committee of Wuhan East Lake High-Tech Development Zone, and has become a well-known entrepreneurial activity brand in Hubei and even the whole country, which has a certain influence in the field of global entrepreneurship. The scientific research achievement of the "New Energy Ship’s Power Control System" project of the "Future Star Automotive Industry-University-Research Studio" team of the Intelligent Manufacturing College of HXIT won the third place in the competition. As a team representative, Mr. Liu Jun successfully obtained an "Optics Valley Entrepreneurial Prize" and successfully settled in Huazhong University of Science and Technology Science Park and Hubei Youth Pioneer Park in East Lake Development Zone for business incubation.

The project is based on the scientific research results incubated by the horizontal project "New Energy Leisure Ship Power System Design (HX560)". The technology of new energy ship’s power control system is a project derived from the basic theory of the course "Electric Vehicle Drive Theory and Design" in Vehicle Engineering. The project upgrades the new energy power of traditional ships or newly built ships, and mainly builds core products such as electric propulsion systems and electrical safety early warning systems. Different from traditional ships, new energy ships greatly reduce ship operating costs on a more environmentally friendly basis, and will be applied in many fields such as water transportation, logistics transshipment, and ship entertainment in the future.

Zhang Chengfang, director of the Scientific Research Department, said that the Vehicle Engineering major will be based on intelligent manufacturing and high-end equipment industry, and actively try to extend new energy technology to related fields to help the long-term development of the profession.
