On April 10th, organized by Hubei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, HXIT and Hubei Provincial Peking Opera Theatre co-hosted the "Red Cavalry of Literature and Art" cultural and artistic performances in the Academic Lecture Hall, and more than 600 teachers and students watched a feast of art together. The performance was brilliant, from Shi Yu Zhuo (picking up the jade bracelet) to Yue Mu Ci Zi (Yue's mother tattooed words on Yue’s back), the actors showed the charm of Peking Opera with exquisite skills and rich emotions.

The organizers said that the performance team consisted of actors from national key Peking Opera theaters, and they hoped to let more students feel the charm and essence of the traditional drama through the performance. Mei Yuchen, a student, said Yue Mu Ci Zi deeply touched her, She could see mother Yue’s inner pain and determination from the actors' performance. Also, the event allowed her to visualize the charm of the art of Peking Opera.

Shi Guipeng, deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee, said that Peking Opera is a treasure of traditional Chinese culture, and this activity achieved good results, as students realized the unique charm of traditional culture in the viewing.
