Last Saturday, our college held a big job fair in the library hall – it was Wuhan University of Technology Huaxia College’s 2013 session of graduates autumn meeting of supply and demand.

It started at 8:00 a.m. 95 companies came to our college looking for talents. It seemed that many students would be employed, but it’s untrue. As many companies could offer one or two vacancies, only outstanding students could have the opportunity to land a job.

There were so many junior and senior students. Most of them wore a suit and a smile as well to make a good impression on interviewers. But it was not as easy as it looked like. First, they needed to think twice about what kind of job they wanted to have. Then, they should prepare an attractive and concise resume. At last, they had to practice how to introduce themselves to the interviewer and how to reply the questions their interviewers might ask. But most important is that they had to build confidence. Only in this way could they show the best side of themselves and obtain the job they desired.

This job fair lasted only 5 hours, though it’s not long, even I as a freshman could feel the intense pressure of employment. It seemed as if one million people competed for only one job. So as a freshman, I think we have to work hard and improve ourselves in order to have a bright future.
