Recently, HXIT's "first lesson" in the spring semester of 2023 was held in the academic lecture hall. Teachers and students gathered together to listen to the "first lesson" taught by the President Wu Yongqiao, the Secretary of the Party Committee Ding Dezhi, outstanding teachers and students.
Wu Yongqiao gave a lecture on the topic of "Cultivating Talents for the Party and the Country", led everyone to review the achievements of HXIT in 2022 in all aspects, and told the struggle stories of excellent alumni around the theme of "adult, growth and talent", encouraging students to have ideals and strive to become talents.
Ding Dezhi, with the title of "bravely shouldering the historical mission, striving to be a new generation worthy of the national rejuvenation", combined with HXIT's experience of taking orders in the face of crisis and fighting the pandemic, and the stories of outstanding teachers and students such as Xiao Qinhua of the Business School and Wu Fei of the Sports School, guiding students to understand the country's value of "people first, life first".
Zhang Li, vice president of the School of Marxism, gave a lecture on the theme of "Sailing on the Boat". She used the five key words "structure, rhythm, node, integrity, and result" to answer students' common questions and encourage students to read good books and grow wisdom in life.
"My most ambitious dream is to establish the National School, lead more people to learn classics, increase wisdom, and carry forward excellent traditional culture..." Student representative Chen Shaotian shared his own growth course and proved with his own experience.
"Finally, President Wu told the stories about excellent alumni. President Wu makes students deeply feel the sense of honor as a member of China. HXIT will focus on the "first lesson" and use the time after the beginning of the spring semester to carry out a series of educational activities with full coverage and three-dimensional accuracy, effectively create a good ecological environment for school ideological and political work in the post-epidemic era.
