It's the season for new freshman registrations! From September 9th to 10th, HXIT welcomed the incoming class of 2023. At the welcome event, they prepared many delicate gifts for the new students, which makes them and their parents feeling welcomed and warm.
At the welcome point of the School of Art Design and Media, they creative "self-portrait" designs and engaging "checkpoint" tasks, along with heartfelt gifts, deepened the new freshman's understanding of the college.
The School of Foreign Languages collected photos of all new students in advance and arranged them to form the word "HELLO 2023," printed as a large poster, guiding the new freshman to quickly familiarize themselves with the environment and their teachers and peers through a game named "finding myself."
The Propaganda Department initiated a "Search for the 2023 Freshman Ambassador" activity through official social media, encouraging new students to bravely participate in the first-day photo-taking event and confidently showcase themselves. All participating new students received delicate gifts.
Furthermore, teachers from the School of Biological and Pharmaceutical Engineering specifically prepared a birthday surprise and gift for a freshman. During lunchtime on the same day, the school leader Ding Dezhi, and other college leaders invited the freshman herself and her family to the canteen to celebrate her birthday, discussing about her university plans while enjoying a meal and creating a harmonious and pleasant atmosphere.
In addition, events such as the Formula Racing Car Exhibition by the School of Intelligent Manufacturing and energetic dance performances by the Gymnastics Dance Team added to the vibrant atmosphere of the welcome event.
Each school showcased its professional characteristics and educational achievements at the welcome event, providing introductions and answering questions through professional teachers and guidance from freshmen. These helped the new freshmen understand the school and their majors better, facilitating their smooth integration into new academic and social life as they embark on this new journey.
Some freshmen expressed that they felt the genuine care and love from the school on their very first day, which brought them closer. They felt like they truly became a part of the school.
