On the morning of March 24, 2024, the Wuhan Marathon commenced punctually, with nearly 30,000 participants from 29 countries and regions gathering in the city known as the "River City" to coincide with Wuhan's most beautiful cherry blossom season. Students and teachers from HXIT actively participated in this event, some serving as volunteers, while others took part as runners.

A total of 232 volunteers from HXIT participated in the volunteer service work for the Wuhan Marathon. They were mainly responsible for supplying beverages and water at the supply stations located 15 kilometers from the starting point. To ensure the smooth progress of volunteer work, HXIT held dedicated volunteer service training sessions and provided special meetings for the school-level coordinators.

At 4:30 a.m. on the day of the race, the volunteers had already assembled and set off from HXIT to their service locations on time. Under the organization of their respective coordinators, they regrouped, clarified their roles, cooperated tacitly, and completed their tasks. The volunteers were ready 30 minutes before the arrival of the runners, dressed in uniform blue attire, providing beverages and water, and continuously cheering them on.

On the track of the Wuhan Marathon, participants challenged themselves and pushed their limits, while volunteers cheered passionately and provided enthusiastic service on the sidelines. Their spirit was touching, as no matter how tired they were, they always remained steadfast in their positions, providing support and assistance to every participant.

In addition, several students and teachers from HXIT participated in the marathon as runners. They fully demonstrated the spirit of perseverance, courage, and tenacious struggle on the track, bringing honor to HXIT and maintaining health and happiness for themselves.

The spirit of the Wuhan Marathon embodies the spirit of China. The students and teachers of HXIT will continue to strive to promote this spirit, integrating the concept of a healthy China into daily learning and life, conducting various health education activities, and guiding students and teachers to adopt healthy lifestyles.
