Recently, the 2024 "Jinshixing Cup" Hubei College Students Mechanical Innovation Design Competition and the 11th National College Students Mechanical Innovation Design Competition Hubei Branch Competition was held in Wuhan East Lake College. After two rounds of physical demonstration defense review, HXIT won a total of 3 provincial first prizes, 4 provincial second prizes and 2 provincial third prizes, two of which successfully won the national competition tickets.

The theme of this competition is "Mechanical innovation to promote agricultural modernization, natural harmony to a new height of bionic", which aims to start from the goal of promoting agricultural modernization, guide college students across the country to pay attention to agricultural production and agricultural science and technology, and participate in agricultural and rural modernization. The content of the competition is the design and production of "Xingnong machinery" and "high-performance bionic machinery". The works were reviewed by the jury on the spot and entered the PPT defense.

HXIT attaches great importance to this competition, after receiving the notice of the competition, the Intelligent manufacturing College quickly formed more than 20 teams to participate in the competition, and twice invited industry experts to conduct primary elections for the works. Among them, 9 works passed the qualification evaluation of the organizing committee of the competition and won the qualification to compete with 421 participating teams from 56 universities across the country. After two rounds of on-site competition, a total of 28 works qualified for the national competition, including 2 from HXIT.

It is reported that the National College student Mechanical Innovation Design Competition is held every two years, is one of the most influential college student competition projects in China, but also the Hubei Province college student discipline and skills competition A class event, since 2003 has been successfully held ten sessions.
