Teachers from HXIT Attended the 2024 Intelligent Language Engineering Empowering Translation to Improve Quality and Efficiency Seminar

On August 24-25, 2024, the "2024 Intelligent Language Engineering Empowering Translation to Improve Quality and Efficiency Seminar" was held in Huaibei City, Anhui Province. The director of Department of International Affairs and Dean of the School of International Education, Xiao Fenghua along with her delegation, participated in the event.



It is understood that this training course aims to jointly explore the application and future development path of intelligent language engineering in the field of translation. During the seminar, Du Nan, Vice Director of the Translation Industry Department of the Translation Institute of the China Foreign Languages Administration (Secretariat of the China Translation Association), Associate Professor Guan Xinchao from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Associate Professor Zhang Jin from Wuhan Institute of Technology, and Professor Wang Huashu from Beijing Foreign Studies University, all delivered presentations on intelligent language technology, English, and translation; Yin Bai'en, a specially appointed human-machine co-translation consultant for Chuanshen (and founder of Zhiwu Defense Think Tank), also shared insights on the practical applications of digital twin technology in the era of human-machine co-translation.



As the head of HXIT Huaxia Translation Workshop and Language Training Studio, Xiao Fenghua emphasizes that with the continuous development and popularization of intelligent language technology, the translation industry is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges, making it particularly important to bring the latest information and guidance to English and translation talents.
