On September 21st, the final round of the 15th SFLEP National Foreign Language Teaching Contest in Hubei Province took place at Wuhan Donghu University. Zhang Liaoliao, a teacher from the Business English Department at the School of Foreign Languages, HXIT, won the second prize in the Business English category.

The competition comprised two segments: a teaching demonstration and a Q&A session with the judges. Zhang Liaoliao received high praise for her well-structured course design, fluent oral presentation, and confident teaching style.
Liu Pei, Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, expressed that this achievement not only highlights Teacher Zhang’s personal teaching excellence but also reflects the high standards of English education at the School. He added that this recognition will inspire HXIT’s faculty to continue exploring innovation teaching methods and contribute more effectively to the growth and development of their students.
The SFLEP National Foreign Language Teaching Contest is regarded as one of the most prestigious foreign language teaching competition in China. This year, 128 teachers from 35 universities across Hubei Province participated, with 32 educators advancing to the finals.
