On the afternoon of May 6th, teachers and students from School of Physical Education of HXIT stepped into the dance studio of Jiangnan Community in Donghu High-tech Zone, offering a charity yoga class to more than 30 residents. Impressed by their expertise and meticulous patience, the residents couldn't help but sing high praises for them.

During the event, Peng Jing, a professional yoga teacher, skillfully demonstrated various yoga postures while meticulously explaining the key points of each movement to the residents. Students from HXIT actively assisted Ms. Peng in guiding the residents through their yoga practice. They not only patiently elaborated on the essentials of each movement and corrected the residents' postures but also provided customized fitness advice tailored to the residents' physical conditions. Aunt Li, a 65-year-old community resident, remarked with a cheerful smile, "These college student coaches are incredibly patient. I've practiced with them four times, and my shoulders and neck feel much more comfortable now!"

School of Physical Education of HXIT has successfully carried out the "Sports Community Outreach" public welfare activity four times in a row. The school has meticulously chosen a series of professional courses, including Health Education, Trendy Group Exercises, Fitness and Bodybuilding, and Functional Assessment and Physiotherapy. These courses enable us to offer residents a variety of fitness courses and guidance, such as aerobics, Baduanjin, yoga, and calisthenics. Xiao Rui, a student from Physical Education Class 1242, stated that this activity enabled him to apply the knowledge of anatomy and rehabilitation he had learned to practical situations. As a result, he gained a more profound understanding of his professional knowledge.

According to Zhao Yan, the Associate Dean of School of Physical Education of HXIT, this activity will be carried out eight times per semester as a regular practice. This initiative not only offers students a practical platform but also provides community residents with scientific and systematic fitness guidance. Zhao Yan emphasized that the school will continuously broaden the scope of cooperative communities, aiming to create a "Healthy Station" for universities to serve society, ensuring that more people can enjoy professional and accessible sports health services.
