First Food Festival Held at HXIT’s Wutonghu Campus

On the morning of November 7, the inaugural "Gourmet Time with You, Full of Campus Love" Food Culture Festival kicked off at Taoyuan Canteen of HXIT’s Wutonghu Campus. Co-hosted by the HXIT’s Logistics Service Center and Huagong Logistics Group, the event was attended by Huang Cheng, Deputy Director of the Wutonghu Campus Management Committee, Qin Zhaoxin, Director of the Logistics Service Center, and other school leaders, as well as representatives from Huagong Logistics Group, who joined teachers and students for the feast.

In his speech, Huang emphasized that food serves as both a carrier of culture and a bond of emotions, stating the event aimed to enhance teacher-student communication and foster a harmonious and inclusive campus atmosphere.




On-site, canteen chefs showcased their skills with over 70 flavorful dishes – including Liangzi Lake Hairy Crabs and Xinjiang Big Plate Chicken – alongside exquisite watermelon carvings, creative table settings, and handmade desserts and drinks, which were widely praised by teachers and students. Liu, a student from the School of Physical Education, lauded the authentic taste of the Cumin Lamb Chops, while Wang, a student from the School of Information Engineering, expressed expectations for the regular holding of such activities.

Huang noted that the food festival was not only a feast for the taste buds but also a platform for in-depth communication between teachers, students and the logistics department. It provided new ideas for optimizing food safety and canteen management, and helped improve the level of campus catering services.
