The results of the Hubei Regional Competition for the 2025 National Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest have recently been announced. Students from HXIT’s School of Information Engineering achieved outstanding success, securing a total of 3 first-class provincial awards, 1 second-class award, 2 third-class awards, and 1 Merit Award. This represents a historic breakthrough in both the caliber and quantity of awards, marking the best performance since the institute's initial participation in the competition. At the award ceremony, students Yang Yue, Fang An, and Guo Wei, alongside their faculty advisor Ruan Bo, took to the stage as representatives to share in this moment of honor.

According to Wang Xingjuan, the competition’s coordinator, this historic achievement was strongly supported by the school’s recent efforts to build a team of "dual-qualified" instructors. Advisor Ruan Bo, with his extensive experience in corporate Research and Development and management, integrated real-world engineering cases and complete project workflows into competition training, effectively honing students’ ability to tackle complex engineering challenges. Another instructor, Tang Jiale, contributed cutting-edge technical insights that helped drive innovative breakthroughs in the competition entries. By deeply integrating industry demands with competition projects, they fully unleashed students’ professional potential and comprehensive practical skills, which became the core driver of their outstanding performance in this year’s contest.
The National Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest is a top-tier Category A academic competition endorsed by the Ministry of Education, renowned for its high standards, difficulty, and competitiveness. This year’s event attracted over 1,000 universities and nearly 68,000 students nationwide, making the competition exceptionally intense.
