Recently,Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Electronic Industry Standardization Institute released the list of assessment sites for the third batch of the Digital Technology Engineer Training Program. Leveraging its solid disciplinary foundation and comprehensive hardware and software capabilities, HXIT has been designated as an assessment site for the "AI Engineering Technician – AI Application Product Integration and Implementation" track, becoming the only approved institution in Hubei Province for this track.

This designation followed a rigorous process (public solicitation, expert review, inter-departmental consultation and public announcement). Leveraging resources from the School of Huawei-HXIT AI Modern Industry , the School of Information Engineering launched the application in June. Over 10 core faculty completed specialized summer training, all earning lecturer and assessor certifications.

Dean Xia Ting of the School of Information Engineering stated that this accreditation signifies HXIT's official qualification to cultivate and certify AI engineering professionals. She emphasized that the School will enhance assessment facility development and integrate premium educational resources to train more high-quality, certified AI specialists for regional digital economy development.
