The 2025 National Digital Construction Innovation and Application Competition came to a successful conclusion. Students majoring in HXIT ’s Engineering Cost delivered an outstanding performance, winning three national second prizes and two national third prizes, setting a new record for HXIT in this national-level competition.

As one of the 84 national-level disciplinary competition recognized by the Ministry of Education, this competition in its 16th consecutive year, reached the largest scale and influence in its history. It attracted more than 500 colleges and universities and over 3,370 teams from across the country to compete. The competition set three major events: BIM Digital Design and Modeling, Comprehensive Application of Digital Construction Project Management, and Application of Construction Engineering Measurement and Valuation. Our students achieved all-round breakthroughs in each event: the "Latebird Pioneer Team" won the national second prize in the Comprehensive Application of Digital Construction Project Management Competition; the "Three Cobblers Team" and "VIP Participation Team" won the national second prize in the Application of Construction Engineering Measurement and Valuation Competition, while the "Crazy Thursday V Me 50 Team" claimed the third prize in the same event; the "Rocket Ranger Team" won the national third prize in the BIM Digital Design and Modeling Competition.

In the previous national selection rounds, 8 teams from HXIT had already stood out, winning two first prizes, one second prize, two third prizes and three excellence awards. Ultimately, five teams consisting of 15 students advanced to the national finals. Instructor Zhou Wei stated that the excellent results are a successful test of the HXIT's talent training system. In recent years, closely following the digital transformation trend of the construction industry, HXIT has built a three-level progressive training system of "theoretical teaching, virtual simulation, and enterprise practice" based on the "post-course-competition-certificate" integrated education model. In the future, the major will deepen cooperation with enterprises, promote the integration of cutting-edge technologies such as BIM, AI, and the Internet of Things into courses, and cultivate more compound innovative talents for the industry.
