HXIT Participated in the 2023 Wuhan Marathon

At 7:30 a.m. on April 16, the 2023 Wuhan Marathon officially fired its gun and 26,000 runners from all over the world gathered at this competition. HXIT participated in the race as competitors, volunteers and reporters. Among them, 4 staff members finished the race successfully, and the volunteer team completed the work successfully which was highly recognized by the race.

As a veteran runner, Xie Yi, head of the Department of Big Data of Information Engineering, successfully ran the 42.195 km in 3 hours and 45 minutes this year. The enthusiastic cheers from the student volunteers gave him a great encouragement when he passed the volunteer service point of HXIT.

Chen Jun, the student counselor from Art Design and Communication, was one of the runners in the 13-kilometer health run, and he hoped to guide students to develop a healthy and active lifestyle through his own actions.

Qin Yuexuan, a student from Class 1217 of Net Media, was a reporter of the official student press corps of Wuhan Marathon. On the day of the race, she shuttled back and forth the volunteer service points, focusing on the activities and recording the wonderful moments of the race with words.

In order to ensure the smooth development of the volunteer work, HXIT held six volunteer training sessions to make sure that volunteers can provide professional, enthusiastic and considerate services to every runner, so that the competition will become the most beautiful memory of the participating runners.
