Four boys in a same dormitory of Intelligent Manufacturing School of HXIT were all admitted to a postgraduate school. They came from different provinces and regions with different personalities, but they were admitted to graduate school together.

All of them are vehicle engineering students at HXIT, Li Yanguang is from Wuzhou, Guangxi, and was admitted to the materials science and engineering major of Guilin University of Electronic Technology; Shen Yifan is from Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province, and was admitted to Zhejiang Sci-Tech University majoring in mechanical engineering; Liao Wenkai is from Chibi, Hubei Province, and was admitted to Shanghai Second Polytechnic University majoring in new energy materials; Dong Kangkang is from Qianjiang, Hubei Province, and was admitted to Yangtze University majoring in petroleum machinery.

The four boys expressed their original intentions for graduate school. Dong Kangkang has been very interested in machinery since he was a child, and Shen Yifan found that he had a certain talent in this area in the process of following his mentor to do scientific research, and finally decided to study mechanical engineering. For Liao Wenkai and Li Yanguang, choosing to enter graduate school is the desire to improve their own quality. All four believe that postgraduate examination brings them not only the improvement of theoretical knowledge and academic qualifications, but the study habits, thinking habits and behavioral habits cultivated in the preparation process.

During the preparation for the exam, the four boys shared the information they had collected from each other, discussed professional knowledge, overcome difficulties, learned from each other's strengths, and encouraged each other during the exhaustion and depression of the postgraduate examination.
