On April 28, the 2023 Faculty and Staff Table Tennis Competition, hosted by the school union and undertaken by the Intelligent Manufacturing School and the School of Physical Education, was held in the gymnasium. More than 70 faculty and staff members participated in the competition.

At the opening ceremony, Ding Chengzhong, on behalf of the HXITl union, expressed a warm welcome to the athletes of all branches who actively participated in the competition.

The competition is divided into six events: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles, and backhand doubles, with the preliminary round and semifinals adopting a best-of-three elimination system, and the final using a best-of-five system.

During the warm-up phase, the athletes were scrappy. During the competition, the teachers turned into agile sportsmen, and the small table tennis balls drew exquisite arcs on the field, causing applause from the audience.

After fierce competition, Ke Xin, Wu Xiaoguang and Hui Ming won the men's singles championship, runner-up and third place respectively, and Zhang Li, Xia Qiaolin and Wang Haixia won the women's singles championship, runner-up and third place respectively; Liu Yuan and Hu Guizhang, Zhou Jianjian and Xiang Jinhui, Xiang Shengtao and Wu Tianyu won the men's doubles championship, runner-up and third place respectively.

At the closing ceremony, Mei Yan said that this competition provided opportunities for table tennis enthusiasts to exchange and learn, stimulated the enthusiasm of faculty and staff to actively exercise, enhanced the awareness of unity and cooperation and tenacious struggle, and fully demonstrated the positive spirit of HXIT's teaching staff.
