From October 24th to 25th, at the 2023 Autumn Sports Games held by Wuhan Guanggu No.5 Primary School, more than 40 students from the Department of Leisure and Physical Education of HXIT volunteered to participate in the opening ceremony of the Wuhan Guanggu No.5 Primary School. This is another social practice activity to go deep into primary and secondary schools to help the development of sports in primary and secondary schools in Wuhan after the teachers and students team of the School of Physical Education of HXIT successfully completed the organization and adjudication of the 2023 Wuhan Hongshan District Primary and Secondary School Students' Athletics Meeting hosted by the Hongshan District Education Bureau and the Sports Bureau.

In order to ensure the smooth development of the primary school sports meeting, the School of Physical Education has carried out sufficient pre-competition preparations in combination with the professional practice of the 2021 class of leisure sports. After strict selection and training in the rules of track and field events, the student referees formed a team of teachers and students with the qualifications of first, second and third level track and field referees, and participated in the refereeing of 60m, 200m, 400m, high jump, long jump, softball throwing, 30m relay and other events. With a solid knowledge base of referees and rich experience in refereeing competitions, they have completed the adjudication work of various projects excellently.

The role of referees is related to the fairness and direction of normal competitions, and this "actual combat training" shows the students' solid professional skills, and hopes that the students will further improve their ability in event organization, on-field refereeing, technical statistics, etc., and strengthen their confidence in the development of national sports.
