In order to popularize AIDS knowledge, improve college students' self-protection awareness, and promote the in-depth development of AIDS prevention in colleges and universities, the 2024 Red Ribbon Youth Campus Tour Activity was held in HXIT on the morning of May 16.

Han Mengjie, Vice President of China Association for the Prevention and Control of STD and AIDS, Ju Ping, a famous host of CCTV, Peng Xu, a member of the Party Leadership Group of Hubei Provincial Bureau of Disease Control and Prevention, and representatives of leaders of China Association for the Prevention and Control of STD and AIDS and other relevant institutions attended. HXIT’s leader Ding Dezhi, Li Haimin, and department heads attended. Associate Professor Wang Lili from Foreign Languages served as the host of the event.

Ding Dezhi, on behalf of HXIT, extends a warm welcome and heartfelt gratitude to the attending guests, leaders, and representatives of teachers and students. Peng Xu hoped to call on young students to firmly establish correct awareness and attract more young students to actively join the AIDS prevention team to jointly promote the development of health cause through the implementation of activities. Han Mengjie encouraged young students to actively participate in campus HIV/AIDS prevention activities, enhance their awareness and ability to protect themselves, and strive to become advocates and practitioners of HIV/AIDS prevention and resistance.

The art troupe of HXIT performed a duet program called "The Only One". Ju Ping, a special guest, presided over the interactive interview session of "Protect Yourself, Stay Away from AIDS". Two experts, Han Mengjie and Ruan Lianguo, made on-site analysis and comments, so that the audience could directly understand the risks and ways of AIDS infection in different social roles, and guide students to think deeply about AIDS prevention and control. During the interaction, the students scrambled to raise their hands and ask experts for knowledge about AIDS. Experts patiently answer questions and clarify doubts for students from a professional perspective. The atmosphere was lively, sometimes with thunderous applause.

The art troupe choir of HXIT concluded the event with a song called "Walking towards the Light".

The Red Ribbon Youth Campus Tour Activity has sparked a warm response from students. The students participating in the activity unanimously expressed the need to cherish life, develop healthy living habits, and actively participate in the promotion and dissemination of AIDS prevention knowledge, spreading the positive energy of youth, and jointly building a "love without AIDS" healthy campus.
