On May 14, HXIT invited Mr. Torres from the United States to give a lecture on the 29th session of the International Communication Salon on the theme of “ Introducing Mexican Culture through Language & Cuisine”

At the beginning of the salon, Mr. Torres opened the theme salon with several pictures of ethnic costumes and food in a Mexican style. Then he talks about the richness of Mexico's culture from its location, the vocabulary evolution, its architecture and cuisine, as well as the influence of Spanish on English and its proximity to the United States.

When talking about the Speaking about the featured Mexican food ---- taco and nachos, Mr. Torres showed a video of how to make taco and nachos, and then demonstrated the process by himself, and invited teachers and students to practice and taste it. Teachers and students rushed to participate in it, and tasted the cuisine made by themselves.

The salon won high praise by teachers and students. they learned about the Mexican language and culture, what’s more experienced feast that made by themselves.
