On the evening of October 14, 2024, HXIT successfully hosted a New Year’s welcome gala with the theme " On the Wings of Song, " celebrating the arrival of the new year and showcasing the HXIT’s achievements in aesthetic education. The event was attended by school teachers and students, and newly enrolled 2024 freshmen, all of whom gathered to witness this grand celebration.
The evening began with a dynamic hip-hop performance titled "Real Hip-Hop" by the F4D Street Dance Society, which immediately energized the audience and highlighted the students’ youthful vitality and passion. Following this lively opener, six hosts took the stage in a dazzling appearance to officially announce the start of the gala. Among the night’s standout performances were the martial arts display "Chinese Martial Soul" and the lion dance, both presented by the faculty and students of the Physical Education Department. Adding to the entertainment, counselors performed a cheerful dance titled "Let's Be Happy Together" dressed as cartoon characters, spreading joy and warmth to the freshmen.
Throughout the evening, the audience was treated to a variety of remarkable performances, including the duet "Cultivate Love", the energetic dance "Battery Up", the comedic skit "Elementary School Students' Essays Have Pictures", and the T-show "Non-Defined Daily" by the etiquette team. These performances provided a rich artistic experience for the audience, showcasing the students' creativity and versatility. Additionally, the HXIT’s student art troupe's dance team performed "Spark", a tribute to the revolutionary era, which captivated the audience with the dancers' synchronized movements and collective passion.
Pan Jing, the organizer of the gala, stated this marks the 17th New Year's Eve Gala hosted by HXIT. Over the years, it has become a hallmark of campus cultural, providing students with a platform to showcase their talents and promoting culture development within the HXIT. She expressed hope that the freshmen would shine in their new environment and add more vibrant colors to their youth.
