On December 21st, the Winter Solstice, HXIT concurrently held a faculty-student dumpling-making activity themed "Warmth on Winter Solstice, Affection Through Dumplings" at its Guanggu and Wutong Lake campuses. Co-organized by the Student Affairs Department of the HXIT Party Committee, the HXIT Youth League Committee, the Logistics Support Department, and all schools, the activity received enthusiastic participation from teachers and students, who immersed themselves in the festive atmosphere to experience the traditional charm.

At 9:00 a.m., the student canteen at Guanggu Campus was filled with a warm and lively atmosphere. After arriving one after another, teachers and students divided labor and collaborated, engaging in kneading dough, rolling wrappers, and stuffing fillings, from an initial clumsiness with their movements gradually becoming proficient. Soon, dumplings of various shapes filled the plates, along with numerous creative ones that showcased the students' ingenuity.

Teachers actively joined in the activity, demonstrating dumpling-making skills and sharing Winter Solstice customs from their hometowns. Through practical experience, the students gained a deeper understanding of the cultural connotation of "The Winter Solstice is as significant as the Spring Festival" and the implied meanings of reunion and prosperity symbolized by dumplings.

At 3:00 p.m., the activity continued at Wutong Lake Campus, where the canteen was equally lively. Specially added fun competitions such as "Fastest Dumpling Maker" and "Most Beautifully Shaped Dumpling", attracted many teachers and students to participate in teams. Cheers echoed continuously at the scene, creating a passionate atmosphere.

Many students who celebrated the Winter Solstice away from home for the first time stated that spending the festival with teachers and classmates made them feel the warmth and sense of belonging of the HXIT family.

Pan Jing, Secretary of the HXIT Youth League Committee, stated that this dual-campus activity was a practical implementation of the HXIT’s commitment to competency cultivation，and advancing the "Three-All-Round Education" philosophy. Integrating traditional cultural education with hands-on labor education, the activity not only inherited the fine traditional Chinese culture but also enhanced the friendship between teachers and students as well as among classmates, strengthening the cohesion of HXIT.
