HXIT Rings in 2026 with “Galloping into Spring, Chasing Dreams in China” New Year Carnival

On December 31, 2025, HXIT’s New Year garden party series, themed “Galloping into Spring, Chasing Dreams in China,” was held simultaneously across two campuses. Organized by the HXIT Youth League Committee and co-hosted by various school Youth League branches, student organizations, and clubs, the event offered a vibrant welcome to the new year.

At the Guanggu Campus, school designed diverse themed activities where teachers and students experienced traditional charm and shared the warmth of welcoming the new year through interactions. The Wutong Lake Campus events highlighted youthful energy and fun-filled engagement.The carnival commenced with an opening address by HXITs leader Ding Dezhi, who extended sincere New Year greetings to all staff and students. This was followed by a variety of artistic performances presented by student groups, schools, and clubs, creating lively interaction between the performance and the audience.

A stamp-collecting activity drew enthusiastic participation. Teachers and students moved between interactive checkpoints set up by different schools, carrying specially designed Year of Horse stamp cards. Meanwhile, at the Student Activity Center, student clubs showcased their talents: the Calligraphy and Painting Club guided participants in creating blessing-themed bookmarks, while the Handicraft Workshop demonstrated traditional Chinese knot making. These attractions drew large crowds, reflecting the creativity and vitality of student club culture.

As night fell, the fireworks show at the Wutong Lake Campus brought the New Year's Eve celebration to a crescendo. Amid cheers, faculty and students gathered to watch the dazzling bursts bloom like flowers carrying good wishes, providing a spectacular and memorable conclusion to the New Years Eve celebration.

Through its rich array of activities, the New Year's Day garden carnival offered a “one-stop” experience that catered to the diverse needs of faculty and students,delivering an immersive festive atmosphere. It showcased the organic blend of traditional culture and modern youth energy, contributed to a vibrant campus culture, and fostered community interaction. The carnival left a profound and cherished collective memory as the HXIT community welcomed the new year together.
