On the morning of April 23, HXIT held the Legal Vice President Appointment Ceremony and the 2026 “Wutong Legal Charm · Lianghu Scholarly Reading” event at the Wutong Lake Campus. Attendees included Yu Zhe, President of Liangzihu District People’s Court; Ge Xiaoyan, Chief Procurator of the Liangzihu District People’s Procuratorate,representatives of the two judicial organs, Hu Shuibing,vice president of HXIT, and other school leaders of HXIT.

Hu Shuibing, Yu Zhe, and Ge Xiaoyan signed an agreement to jointly build an undergraduate internship practice base, deepening cooperation between the institute and local authorities to provide a practical platform for students in related majors. During the appointment ceremony, Lü Xia, Deputy President of the District People’s Court, and Zhang Jie, Member of the Procuratorial Committee of the District People’s Procuratorate, were appointed as HXIT’s Legal Vice President.


In the book-sharing session, court officers Zhou Yanyu and Zhang Mingmei discussed To Kill a Mockingbird and 1587, a Year of No Significance, while HXIT teachers Li Jiayu and Jia Boyan shared insights on Silent Spring and The Circle of Justice. Attendees exchanged views on legal practice and the books.




Hu Shuibing remarked that the event was both a reading feast and a collaborative legal education effort. He added that HXIT will continue deepening cooperation with local judicial authorities to cultivate a scholarly campus atmosphere through reading activities and guide students' growth with the rule of law.
The event was organized by HXIT's School of Marxism and Wutong Lake Campus Management Committee, with the participation of Liangzihu District People's Court and Liangzihu District People's Procuratorate.
