HXIT and Gedian Held Industry-Academia-Research and Talent Supply-Demand Matching Meeting

On the morning of April 29, HXIT and the Gedian Economic Development Zone jointly held an Industry-Academia-Research and Talent Supply-Demand Matching Meeting. Themed "Delivering Talent, Technology, and Services," the meeting aimed to facilitate collaboration between HXIT and enterprises, and to promote the deep integration of talent, technology, and industrial chains. Attendees included representatives from the Zone's Economic Development Bureau, Social Security Center, and Park Management Company; HXIT Vice President Ding Chengzhong, along with relevant school and department heads; and representatives from 21 enterprises.

Jiang Xianhai, Deputy Director of the Zone's Economic Development Bureau, stated that Gedian, as a key node of the Optics Valley Science and Technology Innovation Corridor, has developed significant industrial agglomeration in sectors such as New Energy Materials, Bio-medicine, Intelligent Manufacturing, E-commerce Logistics, and Next-generation Information Technology. He noted the urgent need for high-quality applied technical and managerial talent to support high-quality industrial development, and expressed interest in practical cooperation with HXIT in talent cultivation and technological research.

Vice President Ding Chengzhong introduced HXIT's educational features, its provincial first-tier programs, graduate scale, and employment outcomes. He noted that HXIT has produced tens of thousands of high-quality graduates for society, maintained a high employment rate in recent years, and achieved an employer satisfaction rate of over 98%. This meeting represents a concrete step by HXIT to proactively serve local development, and he expressed hope for establishing long-term, stable partnerships with Gedian-based enterprises.

Representatives from the Schools of Intelligent Manufacturing, Information Engineering, Biological and Pharmaceutical Engineering, and Art Design and Media presented their respective technical service capabilities and talent supply. The School of Intelligent Manufacturing demonstrated its capabilities in industrial robotics, smart production lines, and non-standard automation. The School of Information Engineering described its five studios focusing on smart water management, AI applications, big data, digital twins, and intelligent control, reporting nearly RMB 9 million in horizontal project funding over the past three years and offering 782 graduates from the Class of 2026 as a talent pool for enterprises. The School of Biological and Pharmaceutical Engineering, focusing on the health industry, promotes an integrated "internship + employment" model. The School of Art Design and Media Communications, with capabilities in brand planning, visual design, and e-commerce livestream operations, can provide creative design and digital marketing support to Gedian enterprises.

During the exchange session, representatives from the 21 enterprises introduced their development status and talent needs, covering areas such as intelligent manufacturing, bio-medicine, new energy, optoelectronics, and modern logistics. The HXIT and enterprises exchanged views on potential collaboration areas, including the establishment of internship and employment bases, customized talent training classes, corporate technology development projects, and design and marketing services.
